We recognize that your home is supposed to be the safest place on earth! We'll make it so and you'll be very happy working with a true radon professional. (They are a bit rare in the radon industry.) Look around our website and if you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact us. We're the pros who have been here forever, the EPA's high seniority mitigation expert in the Pacific Northwest. And if you have to deal with radon on your Federal project, I'm the man.
The picture at the title is of an unstable radioactive radon molecule blowing up in your lungs. Not a good thing ... and the largest cause of lung cancer among non-smokers! (And lung cancers may radiate into other cancers.) Sadly, about 51% of Montana and Wyoming homes will test over the EPA's limit for radon. Yes, the long term international radon studies are done and low dosages of residential radon turn out to be a bit worse for humans than the EPA originally estimated! The radon threat is now well documented, well accepted, and real. (Sorry rednecks, the EPA was very close to right on this one.) Since the 1980's the EPA has recognized that radon is actually its' biggest environmental health threat but somewhat of a political dog ... as there is no one to blame. It's the price we pay (but can avoid) for living on a radioactive planet. An evolutionist might explain radon this way: When we moved from the tree to the cave, radon (and lions) became an issue. Whether you're that evolutionist or not, the fact is that the Tree-House Masters ... don't have radon issues in any of their homes. Nary a one. And because we humans have this nasty habit of wishing to stay warm (or cool), we tighten up our caves and hold the radon in so that we'll get a good dose! The point is that you don't have to live in a tree to be safe. But if you are going to live on the ground, you might wish to address the issue of radon. It would be wise. (and avoid the lions) That's what Radon Busters does and we do it ... right.
The above picture shows an "exterior" RB system placed behind a juniper bush. (These are the uglier radon systems. Internal radon systems aren't really seen if they are hidden well.) Whether you are building that $11M castle in Ironwood, a hundred unit housing complex, or fixing a simple little bungalo, we're the professionals who'll get rid of your radon ... right. Yes, we'll take most credit cards.
